It sounds like there are at least a couple of parts that are not working, or at least working well together. Unfortunately, this is a relatively new model and not a lot of folks are familiar with it. My advice would be to take it to a gunsmith and let him fix it rather than trying to do it yourself.
Have these problems occurred since you got the gun? Have you contacted Remington to see if they will help fix these issues?

Did you buy it the gun Kuwait? If so, maybe the dealer can recommend to you how to get it serviced. I'm sure an authorized Remington Dealer will know an authorized service point, or can assist in getting the gun shipped to Remington for repair.

I think the rest of us also came to this conclusion, too, Hoot. Good to know great minds think alike.

All jocking... er, joking... aside, we cannot answer your question. The CTi105 is/was a brand-new model, one that took Remington a long time to develop and one that has had so many problems that it is not even currently listed in the Remington catalog. It functions differently than all of the other Remington shotguns that we might be familiar with. Your best bet is to send it off to Remington to get fixed, regardless of how long it will take. Chances are it is not a simple part replacement.
Or... you could sell it to someone you'll never see again.

Didn't we try to answer your question already? You have a unique situation. You have a broken gun, and no one means to fix it. Answer? Send it Remington. That is our answer and has been mentioned by each of us. The cti105 was and is a lemon. Sorry if our answers to your question don't provide you the solution you want.

According to the 105CTi owner's manual (easily found on the Remington website, www.remington.com), there is indeed a part called the "Rate Controller," and found in in the parts list for the 105CTi (again, easily found on the website) as the "Rate Control Damper Assem," with a cost of $110. It's a lot to pay, perhaps to find out only that it wasn't really the problem.
Again, your best bet is to contact Remington (1-800-243-9700) and ask for help, at least to find out where you might find this part in Charlotte, NC. Alternatively, contact the closest international parts dealer, again found on the Remington website.
I think you should simply sell the gun to someone you don't like and use the money to buy a spear. At least we know where to get spare spear parts.
