I have a Beretta Teknys Field with the E-xtra Grain stock. It was one of the (if not the first) Teknys models out there. Sometimes it will not feed the shell all the way in during a round of clays unless completely clean. This can happen 5-8 times during a round of 50 clays. It did not used to do it when I first got it. I actually sent it in once and that helped for the first year. Any tips on what might be wrong would be great. This gun fits me better than any gun I have ever owned and I shoot it very well compared to my other guns.

If the shell doesn't enter but hangs up on the upper right of the chamber, it's most likely the very common bent shell carrier problem. A lot - I mean a LOT - of B391 guns have this problem, some right out of the box and others it develops over the first 5000 rounds. It is corrected by replacing the shell carrier, very easy to do when you have the new part.

Beretta sent me a new carrier under warranty with just a phone call, others have said that Beretta wanted the whole gun sent back to them. Do this only if you don't mind them having the gun for months, they have a reputation of being very slow. If they won't send you the carrier as part of the warranty service, ask how much to buy it, then call Cole's in Maine and ask how much to buy the shell carrier. Chances are that Cole's will be cheaper, they will almost certainly be faster.

Thanks. I thought it might be the carrier problem. You are correct when asking if the shell ejects, but the new shell does not get fed all the way in. 2 years ago my gun was sent in to Beretta and I received it back several months later and it worked fine until this year and again it started jamming. I will check into the carrier. Any other thoughts would be great.

Yep, use a carrier from a 303 or 390 or have your carrier bent WITH a curve by someone who's done it a few times or so. ALSO, use Breakfree CLP and shoot the gun "wet". These guns like oil.
