The serial number on this Browning Sweet 16 is S over 38276 or (and its likely) the number is 9S over 38276. On the left side of the receiver block there is the word BROWNING and above that, in script, are the words sweet sixteen. Can I get some help identifying dates and place of mfr? Can anyone tell me where to get a stock and forend? It's totally without wood. royevrus

and you can date your gun for yourself. Good luck finding wood on a gun that old. Might want to try starting with Numrich:
