Can anyone please tell me the differance between a Browning XS and the Ultra XS. I'm aware that the Feather XS has a Aluminum reciever with an insert, but I have no idea what the diferance between the other two is. Mark

Mark: I can't find a decent side by side comparison. I suggest you call the Browning 800# and ask to talk to Glen the historian. He is easy to talk to and very informative.

Moffet, thank you. Are you suggesting the North American Browning 800 number? Mark

I recently purchased an XS skeet and was told it is the old Ultra. Don't know how true that is. But the Skeet version has the raised rib, so does the Special.

the "Ultra" name has been dropped from the XS line due to a naming rights conflict. The guns are the same.
Also, the XS Special has a flat rib, as does the XS sporting. The XS Skeet has the raised rib.

Go to the Browning website and look for the feature "Date your Firearm". You can look up the date of manufacture of your Citori by the serial number:
