Anyone have experience with either of these? Looking for a higher end gun, but priced under $7,500. Does DT 10 have enough features over the the 682 E to justify the higher price. Or should I ditch Beretta and choose Krieghoff, Perazzi or Kolar.

The DT 10 is a great gun...it is balanced well, points nice and has minimal recoil and is built like a tank. Is it worth $2500 more than a 682 Gold E? I personally don't think so, nor has it been around long enough to accurately judge its durability. No matter what gun you shoot, you are the one that is going to break the target...not the gun. I highly recommend that you pick up an older gun, like the 682 gold, have the forcing cones lengthen, have it ported, and have a custom stock made that fits YOU! Then you will have the ultimate sporter that shoots like a dream and $3000 left in your bank account to shoot the NSCA circuit!

But, if money is not a concern of yours, and you would rather drive a BMW instead of a Saturn, definitely go with the Kolar. It is quite simply the best gun you can buy...as far as technology, durability, options and customer service go! Plus, if you make the trip to Racine, Mr. Mainland will personally make you a custom fit stock at no extra charge and make sure that you are shooting where you want to (by using patterning boards, bore sights, etc).

Hope this helps!

I have been shooting a 682 Gold E for three years. I LOVE the gun. Berretta has supported me through a broken stock, my fault, and answered many questions. By the way it comes with the forcing cones already lengthened. All I had done was porting which helped tremendously. Additionally, I had Bruce Ney, The Stock Market, custom fit a pistol grip stock and EZ-Coil. Don't even know it's firing! I've been told directly from Berretta USA, it's the best gun for the buck, has all the same features as the DT10 except for some trigger work! Good Luck with your sellection!

The DT10 is completely different than the 682 Gold E. Nothing is interchangeable, different receiver, barrels, trigger etc. everything is different but for this thread is it worth the extra money? If you can swing the extra cash it then it might be if not you won/t have any problems with either. A friend and I just bought both guns and picked them up the same day. The wood on his 682 is just incredible. The difference is clear when you have them side by side. I would be very happy with either one.

The DT 10 is a great gun but it's a Perazzi wannabe so why not pick the P-gun.You can get a new one for <$6000.

I have 2 so I am biased in their favor. They each have fired 1000's of shells w/out any gun failure.I am probably at 20k + on one of them.
