The club will be offering classes for shooting handguns and rifles, plus shotgun instruction by appointment with a certified NSCA Level I Instructor for $50 per hour. Shawnee Farms has already been approved to host NSCA-registered shoots as well as the 2009 West Virginia State Championship, in addition to its monthly league tournaments. Hunter safety courses, 4-H, Boy Scout, and Girl Scout activities are soon to follow. Its fully stocked pro shop provides Beretta gun rentals, motorized carts, ammunition, and other supplies. Individual memberships are available for $100, although non-members can shoot a round of 100 sporting targets for $37 or 25 5-Stand birds for $8.

The club’s name refers to the native Indians who first roamed this area. Shawnee Farms is situated in Williamsburg off Pembroke Rd., a short distance from I-64 or Rt. 219 north of Lewisburg.
